This is my first attempt of of making Miso Cod ( I didn’t find any Black Cod so I can’t really call it Black Cod).  I used Sugar, Sake, Mirin and Miso paste to marinate and reserved some for the sauce.  Unfortunately the flavors was not infused into the cod so I think I will wait until the recipe is perfected for posting it up.

This is a truly amazing restaurant and this applies all round, the service provided was impeccable particularly after my friends incident.  I am not surprised why it is one of the most highly rate and recommended restaurants.

The food served was perfect in every way, from presentation to the taste, although the portions are small they are very filling.  I had the scallops which were very tender and very full of flavor.   We thought it was interesting the combination of having chicken wings and it was so easy to separate the Chicken from the bone.

Staff were fantastic, friendly, and helpful except for one who seem to have a rod stuck up there the sun doesn’t shine.  The main waiter and manager that serviced us also made jokes and even gave us complimentry coffee at the end of the meal.

The surrounding was wonderfully decorated with pearls and crystals and with live entertainment made even more amzing

A very uniquely decorated restaurant once you get past the entrance.  There are set of automatic doors but I am not sure very how it opens.  I had to walk around a bit before the receptionist opened the order for me.   She was very helpful and directed me upstairs where the bar and restaurant is.  The dining area was very inviting and was decorated with wooden beams making feel very warm.  you must note that sections of the dining area does require you take your shoes off

Presentation of each dish was indeed a work of art and most of the dishes were delicious with the exception of one.  The yellow fin for some reason was rather fishy and it wasn’t particularly appetising although it looked beautiful.  One of my favourite dishes was the passion fruit cheesecake, where the richness was balanced out with the sharpness from passion fruit jelly.

The staff in the restaurant was friendly and helpful, the bartenders were entertaining to watch whilst we waited for our table .  They did made a muddle with the seating and service as a whole was very slow.  This for me has let the restaurant down.

Chinese celebrities seems to have been to this place so when I saw Choi Lan (i mean the cardboard piece with the food) on the door step I thought I must try.

The decor with on the restaurant was pretty traditional including what the waitress wore.  I personally have mixed opinions about the food.  I found that the chicken was amazing, the texture was quite good and was done prefect.   The problem I had was with the rice balls.  I found it too salty, hard and dry.   So, I was not impressed at all but I visit Malaka again, I will go back for the chicken

There is great variety in Malaysian particularly non alcoholic cocktails which is great and refreshing.

One of the first drinks I had was Old Town coffee, I was told that it was famous but unfortunately I can’t see why.  I was really let down because it seriously tasted worse that then the instant stuff in the UK

I really loved this ice tea I got from the side street.  I was cool refreshing, sweet, full of intense tea flavors with a silk smooth texture.  Wish we can get it in the UK

The non alcoholic cocktails are comparable to those in HK.  The are amazing colourful, fruity and refreshing.
