The Roadhouse is quite hidden in next the the busy Jublee Market in Convent Garden.  Can’t believe we blindly walked past it.  From a review I read I was expecting an American Diner but it was nothing like it.  The Roadhouse is more like a bar than a restaurant and it is not a conventional place to eat in but in some strange way I did quite like it.  It had loud music where my friends and I was bobbing to familar tunes.

On the menu, there are mainly grills; one of which stood out called Route 66.  In my opinon it can serve 4 people but there was a disclaimer saying that they do not recommend two of those in one night.  I was just thinking is it for just the one person and can someone even finish it all by themselves. I mean it had two 8oz sirloin steaks topped with sautéed mushrooms, onions and cheese. double chicken breasts topped with crispy bacon, BBQ sauce and melted cheese. finish with French fries, onion rings and salad; so wrong.

The ribs was full of flavor but relatively dry.  First bite was great but next bite you would want something moist to go with it.  I think it might be nicer with a little bit more sauce.

Normally at a bar/ restaurnt you normally see a very dull thin piece of meat with a couple of chip.  On this occasion I was happy to see something more colourful.  However, I didn’t really like the sauce and onions because I found it a little too sweet.

As we had a deal with this meal it came up to be really cheap but I think it will still be reasonable without the deal.  Food was ok but not fantastic
